BOARD OF DIRECTORS BIOS

Janine Wilson
Janine joins the board following a successful career in Regina, Saskatchewan, where she worked as a realtor and was deeply involved in the residential home building and condominium development industries. Throughout her professional life, she was known for her strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Since retiring, Janine has embraced a more relaxed pace of life, filled with golfing, traveling, and making memories with her family. Retirement has also given her the wonderful opportunity to dedicate more of her time to giving back and supporting her community. As a proud grandmother, Janine especially treasures time spent with her husband and their two grandchildren. She is honored to serve on the board of the Jax Mac Foundation, bringing her professional expertise and warm community spirit to help champion its meaningful mission.

Joey Macdonald
Joey is the proud father of Jaxon. Since becoming a dad, his greatest focus has been raising children he is proud to send into the world. Hard work, passion, and dedication shape everything he does. A natural mentor, you can often find Joey at the ball diamond or hockey rink, playing, coaching, and inspiring the next generation.
Professionally, Joey’s career as a Survey Engineering Technologist has taken him across Saskatchewan, Alberta, Texas, and the Northwest Territories. Today, he brings that strong work ethic to his role as a Crew Chief with Ron Chisholm Hydroseeding.
Joey now resides in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, with his wife, Samantha, and their two daughters, though a big piece of his heart remains in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he spent 12 years building lifelong friendships. Above all, Joey values family, friends, and traveling to gain new perspectives—experiences he was grateful to share with Jaxon. He remains deeply committed to honoring his son's beautiful legacy through the Jax Mac Foundation.

Danielle Wilson
Danielle is the co-founder of the Jax Mac Foundation, but first and always, she is Jaxon’s mom. Following the unimaginable loss of her son, she helped create the foundation to channel deep pain into purpose, believing that even in our hardest moments, there is an opportunity to connect, give back, and build something that truly matters.
Professionally, Danielle is a Registered Professional Counsellor in Canada, working closely with individuals navigating grief, trauma, and life’s toughest transitions. Her work is deeply rooted in both empathy and lived experience, allowing her to show up for others with genuine, heartfelt understanding. Outside of her clinical practice, Danielle is a proud mom to her two boys and values connection, travel, and finding moments of beauty even in difficult seasons. The Jax Mac Foundation is an extension of that belief, a way to ensure that Jaxon’s life continues to touch others in a meaningful way.

Darren Wilcox
Darren joins the board with a distinguished background in community leadership and conflict resolution. Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, he spent 28 years with the Regina Police Service, retiring as an Inspector and highly regarded member of the Executive leadership team. Throughout his policing career, Darren was known for his authentic, collaborative approach, forging deep relationships with community and institutional partners alike. An expert in his field, he also spent 16 years on the Regina Police Association executive, including five years as President.
Today, Darren serves as the Executive Director for the Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers, continues his work as an Investigative and Mediation Specialist with Buckingham Security Services, and serves as a Trustee for Regina Catholic Schools. His extensive governance background includes leadership roles with the Regina Civic Pension Plan, Mobius Benefit Administrators, Sask Sport, and Sask Lotteries. Darren is honored to bring his lifelong commitment to integrity, leadership, and community service to the Jax Mac Foundation, helping to guide its mission and support the next generation.

Kam Bahia
Kam is incredibly proud to bring her deep passion for youth empowerment to the Jax Mac Foundation board. For the past 14 years, she has served as a teacher with the Regina Public School Board, guiding thousands of students through her classroom. To deepen her impact, Kam completed her master’s degree in educational psychology, dedicating her career to helping young people recognize their strengths, build positive self-identities, and spark meaningful change in their own lives and communities.
In 2018, Kam channeled this mission into founding I Am H.E.R., a non-profit organization that hosts impactful workshops and school programs designed to encourage and support young women. Noticing a growing epidemic of self-doubt among students, she expanded the non-profit to include specialized counseling services for school-aged children, helping them become their own best friends. Kam is truly honored to be part of the Jax Mac Foundation, where she looks forward to helping provide youth with incredible opportunities that foster growth, discipline, and self-discovery.

Kara Macdonald
Kara is deeply humbled and honored to join the board of her nephew’s foundation, helping ensure that Jaxon’s vibrant passions continue to inspire and uplift local youth. Growing up in a busy, sports-oriented family alongside five older siblings, Kara developed a love for athletics early on. She spent years playing a variety of sports, thriving especially in fastpitch and volleyball, and continues to stay active today on the softball diamond and golf course. Beyond athletics, Kara has a creative side and loves expressing herself through writing, often putting pen to paper to craft poetry ranging from lighthearted to deeply sincere.
Professionally, Kara serves as a Deputy Sheriff with Nova Scotia Sheriff Services, approaching her career and personal life with a mindset grounded in integrity, balance, and compassion. Today, she lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia—one of Jaxon’s favorite places to visit—where she is proudly raising her three-year-old son, Laine. She looks forward to bringing her strong values and family dedication to the Jax Mac Foundation.

Rhonda Dickin
Rhonda joins the board after a dedicated 30-year career as a Saskatchewan Dental Therapist, specializing in orthodontics. Committed to her profession, she also lent her expertise to the Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association, serving on their Professional Conduct Committee for five years. Today, Rhonda brings her strong work ethic to the business world, working alongside her husband at their Regina company, Flooring Superstore.
Outside of work, Rhonda is the proud mom of two grown daughters, who both work as teachers in Regina, and the doting grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. As a close friend of Janine and Dani Wilson, Rhonda had the absolute pleasure of knowing Jaxon firsthand and witnessing his incredible sense of adventure and bright spirit. She is deeply honored to serve on the Jax Mac Foundation board, dedicating her time and heart to keeping Jaxon’s beautiful legacy alive.

Wade Chisholm
Wade has been a proud member of the Jax Mac Foundation board since its very beginning, and he is deeply honored to help lead and support the foundation’s meaningful work on the East Coast. Professionally, Wade works in Facilities Management at St. Francis Xavier University within the grounds and transportation department, where he also lends his skills as a rink and pool attendant. He brings a strong sense of dedication, community care, and reliability to both his professional role and his governance work with the foundation.
Rooted in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Wade is married to his wife, Monique, and together they are raising their two sons, Cullan and Killian. When he isn’t busy supporting his community or university, Wade loves staying active on the softball field, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, and simply relaxing at home making memories with his family. He looks forward to continuing his journey with the Jax Mac Foundation, ensuring Jaxon’s legacy thrives across the country.
Chad Mazurak
Chad’s connection to the foundation is deeply personal. He spent several years playing senior hockey in the Highway Hockey League alongside Jaxon’s dad, Joey, in Southey and Wynyard, Saskatchewan. It was during those years on the ice and in the rink that Chad truly got to know Jaxon and developed a close bond between their two families.
Hockey has always been a central part of Chad’s life. Having played everything from Division 1 to minor pro across the United States and Canada, he has built a vast network of connections throughout the hockey community. Devastated by the loss of Jaxon, Chad is honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Jax Mac Foundation. He looks forward to using his experience and hockey roots to help preserve and carry on Jaxon’s lasting memory.
